Cusco City Tour

Approximate Schedule: 1:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

1:30 p.m. – Hotel Pickup (only for hotels located in Cusco’s historic center)
The tour begins with a warm welcome from your guide and transportation to the first archaeological site.

2:00 p.m. – Visit to Qorikancha – Temple of the Sun
Once the most important temple in the Inca Empire, Qorikancha was a spiritual center dedicated to Inti, the Sun God. Its perfectly assembled Inca walls contrast beautifully with the colonial architecture of the Santo Domingo Convent built atop them.

2:45 p.m. – Departure to Sacsayhuamán
Transfer by tourist transport to the upper part of the city.

3:00 p.m. – Visit to Sacsayhuamán
An awe-inspiring ceremonial complex built with enormous stone blocks. Thought to have served both military and ceremonial purposes, it offers panoramic views of Cusco—perfect for photos.

3:45 p.m. – Visit to Q’enqo
A ritual center used for religious ceremonies. You’ll see an altar carved in solid rock and channels believed to have carried sacred liquids during rituals.

4:15 p.m. – Visit to Puka Pukara
An ancient Incan military checkpoint. Its name means “Red Fortress” due to the reddish hue its stones take on at sunset. It also served as a resting place for travelers.

4:45 p.m. – Visit to Tambomachay
A ceremonial site dedicated to the worship of water. The site features fountains, aqueducts, and water channels that showcase the Incas' advanced hydraulic engineering.

5:30 p.m. – Return to Cusco
After exploring these fascinating sites, we’ll head back to the city.

6:30 p.m. – Arrival at Hotel
End of the tour and return to your hotel. Enjoy free time to continue discovering Cusco at your own pace.
